I believe that this quote is saying is that the things your mouth say is powerful. When speaking about certain things you have to be careful because the things you say really happens if it doesn't happen to you its happening to someone else so you shouldn't speak about bad things cause they can happen to you sometime in the future. If you talk about someone you can end up in the same situation they were in or even worser.
